    Position Summary

    The Scientific Communications and Engagement (SCE) organization provides medical communications that enable the Healthcare community to advance the science, accelerate access, shape medical practice, and drive appropriate adoption of BMS medicines. The Field Medical Excellence intern will interact with business stakeholders and subject matter experts in order to understand their needs.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Collect and communicate input from various global cross matrix stakeholders

    • Develops proactive, cross-market metrics, project plans and timelines with key stakeholders including Worldwide Publications & Content, Worldwide Medical Team (WWMT) leaders/project management, development team, key markets and other key cross-functional stakeholders (e.g. congress updates, key Therapeutic Area (TA) level/multi-asset level communications)

    • Participate in strategic discussions for key initiatives understand interdependencies, and execute on next steps

    • Analyze data and determine the most effective and efficient means to communicate and tell a story across the organization

    • Determine means and tools needed to capture metrics

    • Create vehicle for ongoing monitoring (i.e. Dashboard, Newsletter)

    • Revise training materials, develop process checklists and manuals

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree or PharmD with a minimum GPA of 3.0 at an accredited university

    • Interest in science, pharmaceuticals, training, writing, technology and/or business

    • Candidates must be a US citizen, have a lawful permanent resident of the US or otherwise authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future

    • Experience with metrics, data extraction, restructuring, data manipulation, and analytic techniques to answer a wide range of business questions.

    • Well-versed in understanding and developing analytic-based reporting or dashboards.

    • Ability to focus on details and think analytically and strategically in a collaborative, collegial, and fast-paced environment

    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are required.

    • Experience in working with matrix teams or in a matrix environment is desirable

    • Proficiency in analytics and ability to communicate data effectively

    • Proficient in technology

    • Ability to be innovative and articulate ideas

    • Ability to work independently and effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
