At Bristol Myers Squibb, we are inspired by a single vision – transforming patients’ lives through science. In oncology, hematology, immunology and cardiovascular disease – and one of the most diverse and promising pipelines in the industry – each of our passionate colleagues contribute to innovations that drive meaningful change. We bring a human touch to every treatment we pioneer. Join us and make a difference.

The Oncogenesis Thematic Research Center (TRC) in San Francisco California is focused on developing therapeutic targets using the protein homeostasis pathway. Comprised of scientists across multiple disciplines, we are responsible for taking molecules from later stages in discovery through clinical proof-of-concept studies.

The Oncogenesis TRC is highly committed to supporting local STEM initiatives that gives individuals the  opportunity to participate in diverse aspects of the drug discovery process and to contribute to the goal of bringing novel therapeutics to cancer patients. To further this cause, we are thrilled to introduce the 2022 Summer Internship Program. The selected interns will have the opportunity to contribute to programs within translational research at BMS during a 10 week, full-time, paid summer program

Students will benefit from the state-of-the art laboratories at our San Francisco site and gain critical knowledge of core techniques used for biological assays of drug candidates in our late discovery and early clinical pipeline.  The intern will have the opportunity to participate in departmental and project team meetings to gain valuable insights into the drug development process, and interact with individuals with a range of scientific and pharmaceutical leadership roles. The internship will conclude with a formal symposium where the student will present their findings to the larger group in San Francisco. We highly encourage students from all backgrounds to apply and join our team next summer.
