    The Manager, Indirect Sourcing & Procurement role will lead both tactical and strategic execution activities in the Indirect procurement field. This position will maintain strong alignment to the manufacturing network strategy and initiatives, support the business with close partnership with the site management team, and engage closely with any appropriate sister sites within the GPS network to ensure best value for individual site and network.

    Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities :

    • Collaborate with Site Procurement & Category Leaders on strategy development and lead/support procurement execution for indirect categories across the site (IT, Automation, Capital, Equipment, Analytical Test Suppliers, Off-Site Storage, HR, Technical Services, Benchtop Equipment, Facilities, and Finance).

    • Manage suppliers and engage directly with site stakeholders as well as global teams. Be the first Procurement Point of Contact to resolve critical supply issues by leveraging strategic relationships with vendors.

    • Support all local BCP activities, PRAM/TPRM support and business processes for Indirect suppliers.

    • Review local industry & market insights, identify opportunities to support Category Leaders, and help refine strategies to improve total cost of ownership.

    • Assist/lead sourcing activities as needed by identifying and screening potential sources. Support the E2E sourcing, RFP evaluation, negotiation and contracting with an approach that ultimately provides Procurement leverage and buying power, drives positive influence in capital savings, cost avoidance, early payment discounts, and overall spend with preferred, diverse, and small business suppliers.

    • Support/manage procure to pay transactions, enforce policies, internal controls and compliance. Provide training and support for end-users.

    • Resolve invoicing issues to ensure suppliers are paid on time and without credit hold. Investigate records and resolve problems such as invoice discrepancies, supplier challenges utilizing Ariba, damages/returns, and quality issues for indirect investigations.

    • Work closely with internal stakeholders across the site, improve overall stakeholder engagement level by taking proactive Procurement ownership.

    • Support Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) processes, procedures, supplier and category segmentation, scorecard format, contract management, etc.

    • Manage Indirect contracts/agreements through Icertis (contract management portal) for the site, create legal documents and templates, support LOIs, SOWs and MSAs across the site.

    • Support site stakeholders in budgeting cycles and projection updates.

    • Demonstrate working knowledge of supplier spend, critical suppliers, business continuity plans, and project milestones.

    • Develop and implement KPI’s/metrics with suppliers to achieve and monitor performance. Track, publish and drive to achieve or exceed metrics appropriate for suppliers and internal goals including cost savings, value beyond savings, invoicing compliance and other focus areas as determined by leadership. Establish and lead Tier 1 for Indirect Procurement to facilitate monitoring and improving performance, while also identifying any negative trends requiring proactive remediation and action with suppliers and site stakeholders.

    • Maintain continuity of current Good Manufacturing Procedures (cGMP) for Services and Indirect Materials for manufacturing operations at the Devens Campus, including Biologics (LSCC, SUF, CBF), Biologics Development and Cell Therapy.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements

    • Minimum education of a Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or equivalent work experience required.

    • Minimum of five (5) + years of work experience in Procurement, Supply Chain and/or Planning, CPM/CPIM/CPSM preferred.

    • Experienced in SAP, Ariba Procurement module, and iCertis contracting software, as well as previous experience providing training to others in procurement software applications.

    • Experience in developing positive relationships with suppliers, expediting, prioritizing and negotiating deliveries, analyzing and reporting on supplier performance.

    • Thrives working in a fast-paced environment and proven ability to manage multiple projects/tasks effectively.

    • Understand the BMS policies, methodology, process and guidelines for conducting and implementing an efficient/effective indirect sourcing project. Strong understanding of category specific business operational processes, procedures, workflows.
