    Position Summary

    Bristol-Myers Squibb is looking for qualified interns to join our Patient Advocacy team. The Advocacy intern will be responsible for assisting the Patient Advocacy team in the development and execution of advocacy strategy and plans across BMS product brand and therapeutic areas. The Patient Advocacy intern will be part of a broader intern network within BMS Corporate Affairs, as well as BMS.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Participate in Patient Advocacy projects and team meetings, and cross-functional strategy planning.

    • Collaborate with matrix partners, including US & Worldwide Commercialization, Medical, R&D/R&ED, Market Access, country matrix teams and other functions, to support strategy planning, alignment building and tactical execution.

    • Support the development and maintenance of relationships with patient advocacy organizations.

    • Support content creation for external/internal communications for key patient advocacy projects and initiatives.

    • Support the Patient Advocacy team with SharePoint site content update and other innovative platforms for sharing globally to market as resources and best practices.

    • Support Patient Advocacy team with meetings set up, communication, meeting minutes/status/action items, etc.

    • Support administrative tasks as needed.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Undergraduate/Graduate student from an accredited university with a major in Business, Communications, Marketing, Political Science, Public Health, a similar area of study or current graduate/professional school students (PharmD, MPH, etc.).

    • Intern must have expertise in science, healthcare, professional writing, project management, marketing/advertising and public/media relations experience.

    • Desired experience in developing targeted, compelling, and effective business/corporate acumen, relationship management, project management, deadlines, and priorities; planning and coordinating and executing events.

    • The candidate must be a creative thinker with great attention to detail.

    • Highly proficient in standard computer applications, including Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

    • The individual must be a team player with excellent writing, interpersonal, organizational, and planning skills.
