POSITION SUMMARY:

Catalent Pharma Solutions in Kansas City, MO is hiring a Proposal Lead for the Clinical Services group. This person will be responsible for project management and proposal process, including leadership of cross-functional teams to scope opportunities and gain key stakeholder review and approval, as appropriate. The Proposal Lead also handles the pricing, margin analysis and generation of proposals, to deliver quality and on-time Quotations to Clients. This position will report directly to the Manager of Client Services.

This is a full-time role position: Monday – Friday, 8:00AM-5:00PM.

This is currently a remote position, however you may be required to travel to the Kansas City, MO site on occasion, so applicants should be within commuting distance.

THE ROLE

• Follow the proposal process and liaise with Project Management, BD, Clients, and Management/Key Stakeholders on the generation of, and pricing for, Quotations/QARs

• Facilitate communication between functional areas of the organization (ie. BD, Project Management, Operations, Quality, Finance, etc.) to ensure on-time delivery of Quotations / proposals that are accurate and executable in terms of technical scope and meet costing / business margin targets.

• Work with all Operations functions to determine the most optimal and cost-effective development/manufacturing/packaging methods and to request pricing on any additional items to support quotation generation.

• Communicate directly with client contacts and leads and/or participates in client meetings, as needed to support the Proposal / BD process.

• Work collaboratively and professionally in accordance with the global process and to support objectives.

• Work with Business Development, Operations, and Finance to produce optimal value pricing solutions, as appropriate for proposals managed.

• May be required to maintain customer templates, respond to specific feedback on pricing for clients / proposals, liaise with other sites as part of proposals managed and may participate in team initiatives.

THE CANDIDATE

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Business is preferred with 1-3 years of related industry experience - or equivalent.

• Prior experience in project management, contract development, research, pharmaceutical/biotech industries, or GMP environments is preferred

• Highly skilled in organization, prioritization, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills, as well as managing multiple projects while performing well under pressure.

• Experience speaking to clients or customers, and good communication skills

• Understanding of basic mathematic concepts

• Proficiency in MS Office
