Position Summary
The Cambridge Proteomics laboratory analyzes the protein constituent (proteome) in biological samples using cutting edge mass spectrometry technologies. These proteome wide analyses allow us to further our understanding in how protein expression patterns associate with disease stages or individual’s response to therapy. The goal of this position is to identify differentially expressed proteins in patient samples as potential biomarkers by applying unbiased proteome wide profiling. Under the mentorship of a senior researcher, you will assist in developing and optimizing workflows and methods for biomarker identification from a variety of biomatrices, utilize bioinformatics software required to complete complex data mining, and understand how to translate data into biological insights.
