• Perform routine laboratory testing for bulk and finished product to support production or shipping requirements. Assure that testing is properly documented and that the bulk or finished product is dispositioned in accordance with the results of the test and the appropriate standard operating procedures.

• Perform stability testing in support of the room temperature stability program. Assure that stability testing is completed in a timely manner and within the designated time frame. Complete stability testing documentation as appropriate.

• Order supplies as required for the efficient operation of the laboratory. Supplies must be consistent with the requirements specified in individual methods or monographs where applicable. Track the procurement process to insure that costs are charged to the appropriate account and are logged into the expense database. Control costs to the extent that materials purchased meet the required quality standards at the lowest cost.

• Oversee the proper disposal of laboratory waste in conformance to the established procedure.

• Serve as safety officer for the laboratory which may include safety audits, liaison to the HazCom team, dissemination of safety information to laboratory chemists and assuring adherence to the safety requirements in the laboratory.

• Secure and file the MSDS sheet for all laboratory chemicals and reagents. Maintain a log of laboratory chemicals and reagents. Assure that chemicals and reagents are within their respective expiration date or shelf life. Discard any expired or obsolete chemicals or reagents as appropriate.

• Assure that the laboratory is always maintained in a neat orderly manner. This includes but is not limited to: using proper rotation of laboratory towels, rinsing, cleaning, and put away of laboratory glassware, cleaning of common areas and personal space as appropriate, observance and reporting of any damage to the infrastructure, plumbing, light fixtures or other maintenance that may be required."

• B.S. degree in Chemistry or related field with at least two years experience in laboratory analysis.
