    Job Description

    The Strategy Development Program (SDP) consists of three, twelve-month assignments over the course of three years. The assignments are crafted to help you develop foundational knowledge by working on a range of projects, while providing exposure to different leaders in the company. These experiences will develop you and support your future opportunities in a strategic function at AbbVie. You will also get experience by working cross functionally in a matrix environment and building your strategic and analytical skill set. The rotations will be carried out primarily across the following areas in the Corporate Business & Strategy Office (CBSO): Enterprise Innovation and Transformation, Corporate Strategy, Competitive and Strategic Insights and Alliance Management.

    Responsibilities:

    Example projects may include:

    • Analyzing acceleration levers to maximize an asset or brand
    • Supporting roll out of new capabilities to enhance R&D performance
    • Supporting AbbVie’s long-range planning process
    • Conducting competitive analysis to support pipeline decision making for key oncology assets
    • Supporting strategic partnership interactions

    Qualifications:

    • Must be currently enrolled in university and completing your final year of a Bachelor’s degree
    • Must graduate with a Bachelor’s degree prior to the intended full-time start date
    • Demonstrated interested in Healthcare through course work, internships or related experience
    • Basic/intermediate experience in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
    • Demonstrated leadership skills (i.e. extracurricular activities, projects or internships)
    • Cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher preferred
    • High learning agility and initiative
    • Ability to work in a collaborative team setting
    • Excellent communication, leadership, project management, problem solving, analytical skills, and business mindset

Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
