Position Summary

To develop our next generation cell therapies we are incorporating high dimensional phenotyping assays such as citeSeq and Infinity Flow to characterize drug product. These data will allow us to better understand and improve the cell therapy manufacturing process from patient or donor material and will enable deeper investigations into how the cellular phenotype of the cell therapy product is related to clinical response. During a summer internship in our team, you will work collaboratively to analyze internally generated high dimensional cellular phenotyping data sets to interrogate patters of marker co-expression. You will use machine learning techniques to define alternative marker combinations that can accurately predict the expression of proteins of particular interest to our CAR T programs. During this internship you will gain experience working in an inter-disciplinary team, learn about cell therapy development, and develop your machine learning skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with colleagues to understand and analyze the available high dimensional cell phenotyping data
• Select, develop and interpret machine learning models including regularized regression and tree based methods to identify a minimal set of markers that can be used to predict expression of our marker of interest
• Meet regularly with collaborators to communicate findings and recommendations

Qualifications & Experience

• Coding experience in R or Python
• Familiarity with machine learning techniques and/or familiarity with high dimensional flow cytometry data sets
• Communication and collaboration skills
