Overview

If you’re a college student, Pfizer Futures is your chance to gain real-world, impactful work experience for 10-12 weeks during the summer. This U.S. program offers undergraduate students the opportunity to grow and develop into the next Pfizer Colleague. 

With opportunities across the Enterprise, Pfizer Futures interns will support their division’s goals and initiatives while building relationships and learning about Pfizer. 

The 2026 Pfizer Futures application portal will be open from October 1st to October 31st, 2025. 

Applications and placements for this program are reviewed on a rolling basis. Interview and hiring timelines differ by division.  

Responsibilities

Digital and AI are helping us to bring lifesaving medicines and vaccines to the world quickly and at scale.  ​

Colleagues are working with the latest technology and building skills in areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Research and Development, Software Engineering, Robotic Process Automation, Cybersecurity, Cloud, Enterprise Architecture, Agile Project Management, and more. Digital project responsibilities may include, (but are not limited to): 

• Capture and analyzing data from new and novel data sources
• Mining massive amounts of real-world healthcare, research, and business data to extract useful insights 
• Assist in the development and execution of our learning & development programs and events. 
• Work with cross functional teams / vendors to assess software and capabilities that will address accessibility barriers 
• Assist in designing and executing predictive modeling projects using rigorous statistical

methods and machine learning techniques

• Design new visualizations to make descriptive analyses intuitive and more informative for additional modeling
• Work on backend data and software engineering to build scalable solutions/algorithms, data pipelines, and helping to automate data processing challenges

Other Information

• Eligible Pfizer Futures interns in this division will be eligible to apply for a rotational program/full-time opportunity during the Fall of 2026
• Interviews for this position will begin in the Fall

Minimum Qualifications

• Be immediately authorized to work in the U.S. This Program cannot support applicants who require employer sponsored visas now or in the future
• Be an undergraduate student enrolled in a full-time university program (an accredited college / university degree program at the time of award) 
• Be at least 18 years of age prior to the scheduled start date
• Have at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA as of the most recently completed semester
• Be able to commute to a Pfizer location 4+ days a week . Please note- some lab/manufacturing roles may require additional on-site days

Preferred Qualifications

• Studying applicable degree (Computer Science, Information Security, Data Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, Business, Management, Finance, Supply Chain, Life Sciences, Communications or equivalent)
• Experience in a programming language (Java or Python)
• Junior or Senior students preferred

The pay rate range provided is a reasonable estimate of the anticipated compensation range for this job at the time of posting. The actual pay rate will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, educational degree obtained, location and/or being pursued and other job-related factors permitted by law.

In addition, this role will be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements.

Pay Rate Range: $26/hr to $29/hr
