Position Overview

At Conscious Step, we are on a mission to help people fight poverty in their everyday lives. We make apparel partnered with 18 different global nonprofits to give extraordinary purpose to an ordinary purchase. From providing safe water to protecting rainforests, every product delivers an impact. We are a small team dedicated to changing the world, one step at a time.

Conscious Step is looking for a Social Media and Marketing Intern to join our team. This person will work directly with our head of creative to create visually engaging content for our social media channels to drive traffic and sales. This person should have familiarity with leading social platforms and strong communication skills.

Applicants should be able to dedicate at least 3 days per week and preferably travel to our Brooklyn (Williamsburg) office.

**What you’ll do: **

• Assist our marketing coordinator in influencer collaborations
• Copywriting and content creation for emails, social, website, etc.
• Engage through our social channels to build a connected community
• Schedule content & manage social media accounts
• Assist PR with building lists and creating media audits and contributing pitch ideas

Who you are:

• Highly organized & motivated
• Available at least 3 days a week, with potential to work more
• Able to write smart, witty social copy
• Strong written & verbal communication skills

Hours: 9-5
