  • Responsibilities

    Provides nonexempt, entry-level administrative support to the administrative services function.

    PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Receptionist duties of greeting customers and visitors to the Plant and answering the main switchboard phone.
    • Assisting with the day-to-day operation of administrative needs with the Human Resources Manager.
    • Provide administrative support for the HR Team and Plant Supervisors and Managers to include meeting scheduling, training materials preparation and other communication and presentation materials.
    • Assist with New Employee Orientation and Reorientation materials preparation and scheduling.
    • Responsible for maintaining employee record/files; ensuring employee documents are scanned and ascended accurately and timely.
    • Maintain HR department forms supply and stock for Staff needs, to include ordering and copying as needed.
    • Support with data entry for employee payroll and timekeeping.
    • Directs visitors by maintaining employee and department directories; giving instructions.
    • Collect, sort, distribute, or prepare mail, messages, or courier deliveries.
    • Assist in resolving any issues or inquiries regarding the Avanti Open market.
    • Assist in the planning and facilitation of company events.
    • Assist in resolving employee issues or inquiries regarding the ADP/iPay application.
    • Assist in the coordination and purchase of employee appreciation gifts.
    • Balance the petty cash drawer and take payment for employee use of shipping facilities.
    • Update HR Department work instructions as needed.
    • Assist HR Manager with reconciling expense reports as needed.
    • Arrange for lunch/catering when necessary

    ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Performs other projects or miscellaneous duties as requested or assigned

    EDUCATION

    • High school diploma or GED

    EXPERIENCE

    • 0 to 2 years in an office environment

    SKILLS

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs and internet usage
      • Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word
    • Must be comfortable working with highly confidential information
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
    • Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
    • Strong organization and communication skills
    • Capacity to offer excellent customer service to all levels across the organization
