Summer Camp Counselor (Paid+Travel+Meals+Lodging) in NY Berkshires
We have two kinds of counselors: general counselors and specialists, each of whom are assigned to a specific age group with whom they spend time, live in the cabins, eat meals and attend special events and evening activities. Specialists spend their four daytime activity periods at their specialty (e.g., lifeguards are at the waterfront, tennis specialists instruct on the courts, etc.) while GCs accompany their age group of campers from period to period and participate with them in the various activities that Pontiac offers.
We hire quality people who love kids and who enjoy being outside regardless of the specific position during the summer. For specialists, we look for students who played on a varsity high school team and/or college varsity, junior varsity or club team. Child care experience and/or college majors including elementary ed, secondary ed, special ed or physical ed is a plus.
Loves being around children and takes pride in teaching them values and skills (whether athletic, lifetime, or hobbies).
