International Value AddedTax (VAT) Technology Consulting Intern

RSM US’ Global Value Added Tax (VAT) Consulting team advisesUS multinational organizations on how to manage their international indirecttax (VAT/GST) challenges. This relatively new team has seen rapid, triple digitgrowth and has expanded from global consulting services into global complianceservices, VAT technology and applications consulting. The growth in consultingand advisory opportunities is driven in part by our unique position in themiddle market space, but also by the vision and leadership provided by thefirm. Coupled with the rapidly changing global VAT environment, we needtalented and motivated individuals to join our team, support the growth andaccelerate their careers.

We are now looking for motivated, team-oriented individualswith analytical and inquiring minds to join one of the fastest growing parts ofour business. This team focuses on ERP implementations, optimizations and dataanalytics. We work with a range of software solutions including MicrosoftD365FO, NetSuite, Alteryx, PowerBI, Tableau and several tax engines. Experiencein any of these platforms or SQL database querying would be preferred.

As a Tax Intern for International VAT Consulting within theRSM International Tax practice, you will be responsible for the following jobduties:

• Provide excellent client service to internationally active companies with VAT needs by interacting with clients.
• Support the development and delivery of our tax technology products and services
• Assist in the design and implementation of ERP and tax engine systems
• Work within multi-disciplinary teams to deliver services
• Operate on a US National basis to support the needs of clients across the US
• Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:  

• Working towards B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent from an accredited university 
• Data analytics, management information systems, accounting, finance, economics or related area of study
• 90 credit hours completed
• Minimum 3.0 GPA preferred

Preferred Qualifications:  

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills  
• Demonstrable experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Microsoft D365FO
• NetSuite
• Alteryx
• PowerBI
• Tableau
• SQL database querying
• Accounting systems configuration and testing
• Compliance process review and improvement
• Corporate transactions
• Cross border supply chain consulting
• Ability to work effectively on a team 
• Ability to work and multitask in afast-paced environment
