KPMG is currently seeking an Advisory Associate for our Customer & Operations Financial Services practice in Consulting.

Responsibilities:

• Work as part of a project team to assess company performance and the underlying strategic and operational performance drivers for clients within the Financial Services industry; specific focus areas include Insurance, Banking & Operations, Capital Markets and Data Analytics

• Analyze the business processes, data, organization and infrastructure to identify opportunities for strategic changes

• Perform market benchmarking and data analysis

• Develop and work on the implementation plan including design, build, test and conversion to bring projects to the market

• Communicate progress of the project, including issues and corrective actions, to the client in a timely manner

Qualifications:

• Must be pursuing and have obtained by the start date or have completed the following degrees/majors in the past 12 months; Bachelors or Masters degree, preferably in MIS, Data Science, Engineering, Finance, Economics, Marketing, Computer Science, CIS, Statistics, General Business or equivalent program with a strong analytical, technical development and problem solving base from an accredited college or university

• Must have a current/most recent GPA of 3.00 or above

• Basic knowledge of methods and tools to gather and interpret data is required, familiarity of Python, R, Tableau, Alteryx or similar data analysis tool highly preferred

• Strong technical aptitude, demonstrated quality service mindset, critical thinking skills and ability to navigate MS Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook

• Excellent communication, time management and leadership skills; flexible and adaptable team player; and resourceful in delivering high quality work

• Experience with software development and configuration of system functionality, preferred; understanding of how to develop solutions using software preferred

• Work location may be in the office, at client sites, or virtual/remote depending on business need. You must be located within the U.S. when working remotely. Client site locations may require travel and overnight/extended stay

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
