    KPMG is currently seeking an Advisory Associate for our Financial Crimes & Analytics practice in Consulting.

    Responsibilities:

    • Work as part of a team to assist a variety of financial institutions in addressing financial crimes issues such as money laundering and terrorist financing, including advising on areas such as Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), the USA PATRIOT Act, regulatory or sanctions matters, digital payment services and/or virtual currencies

    • Assess regulatory, business and reputational risks faced by clients

    • Assist in the development of reports, training materials and/or policy and procedural documents for our clients

    • Provide support on internal initiatives, such as business development activities and the development of internal and external publications

    • Stay up-to-date on current and emerging regulatory requirements, guidance, industry practice and trends that impact financial services companies

    Qualifications:

    • Must be pursuing and have obtained by the start date or have completed the following degrees/majors in the past 12 months; Bachelors or Masters in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Math, Social Science, Computer Science, Law, Criminal Justice or other related degree from an accredited college or university

    • Must have a current/most recent GPA of 3.00 or above

    • Coursework and/or experience with understanding, interpreting and applying information and regulatory requirements to a clients business environment

    • Understanding of banking-related operations, products and services and familiarity with BSAAnti-Money Laundering (AML) and Office of Foreign Asset Controls (OFAC) laws and regulations are a plus

    • Proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese is a plus

    • Strong technical aptitude, demonstrated quality service mindset, critical thinking and research skills and ability to navigate MS Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook (Visio and data analysis programs such as Access and SQL are a plus)

    • Excellent communication, time management and leadership skills; flexible and adaptable team player; and resourceful in delivering high quality work

    • Work location may be in the office, at client sites, or virtual/remote depending on business need. You must be located within the U.S. when working remotely. Client site locations may require travel and overnight/extended stay

    • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
