    KPMG is currently seeking an Advisory Intern for our Lighthouse practice in Consulting.

    Responsibilities:

    • Work side by side with client-facing KPMG teams to improve the quality, reliability and overall user experience of our clients most critical systems and technologies

    • Help define the strategy and shape the techniques that will evaluate digital solution quality and support testing activities

    • Contribute to the development of testing strategies and tools to test industry leading package applications, custom built specialized applications and the latest emerging technologies across all industries

    • Work with the team to develop and validate test conditions, test scripts / user stories and expected results for all test phases; undertake test planning activities and conduct manual and automated test activities for Agile and/or Waterfall deliveries

    • Support the development of automated testing solutions that utilize the latest test automation technologies

    • Support KPMG and client engineering teams accountable for resolving critical issues and help prioritize issues for resolution prior to go-live; help develop intuitive and informative reporting dashboards and executive reporting packages to communicate status and key information related to systems quality and go-live readiness

    Qualifications:

    • Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing the following degrees/majors; Bachelors or Masters degree, preferably in technical sciences or Information Systems

    • Must have a current/most recent GPA of 3.00 or above

    • Knowledge of different software development methodologies (Waterfall, Iterative and Agile)

    • Dedication and passion for systems and product quality with natural curiosity to detect and resolve critical issues, awareness and knowledge of test planning, test execution and defect management process

    • Exposure to Webservices, SQL, Scripting(JS/Python/Perl) is preferred; ISTQB Software Testing Certification/PMP/Certified Scrum Professional certifications are preferred

    • Understanding of Test Automation tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, MicroFocus UFT and Test Management tools such as JIRA, TFS (ADO) and/or ALM

    • Excellent communication, time management and leadership skills; flexible and adaptable team player; and resourceful in delivering high quality work

    • Ability to explain technical concepts and analytics-driven findings to businesspeople and explain business processes, concepts, challenges and issues to technical resources

    • Strong technical aptitude, demonstrated quality service mindset, critical thinking and quantitative skills and ability to navigate MS Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook

    • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
