    KPMG is currently seeking an Advisory Intern for our State and Local Solutions team in Consulting.

    Responsibilities:

    • Participate in all phases of a program or system transformation, including: planning and strategy activities, requirements gathering and analysis, design elaboration and validation, system integration and user acceptance testing, operations and maintenance activities
    • Assist with the gathering and analysis of data related to the improvement of State and Local Government processes, policies and procedures
    • Support the development of business process models and/or enterprise architecture models for current state and target state operations
    • Help with the development of presentation materials, project tools and meeting minutes to support client-facing discussions
    • Assist with the management of project plans, risk management activities and assist with developing project management-related documents

    Qualifications:

    • Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing the following degrees/majors; Bachelors or Masters degree in Information Systems and Technology, Computer Science, Applied Technology Management, Business & Computer Information, Business, Economics, Database Technology, Public Administration, Public Policy, Political Science, or equivalent program
    • Must have a current/most recent GPA of 3.00 or above
    • Strong technical aptitude, demonstrated quality service mindset, critical thinking and quantitative skills and ability to navigate MS Office applications (including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Project and Visio) with a general understanding of data analysis techniques
    • Excellent communication, time management and leadership skills; flexible and adaptable team player; and resourceful in delivering high quality work
    • Must reside within a commutable distance of the office for this position and be responsible for your own transportation, such as personal vehicle or public transportation, to get to and from office / client locations to satisfactorily fulfill your job duties, as determined by your practice leadership
    • Work location may be in the office, at client sites, or virtual/remote depending on business need. You must be located within the U.S. when working remotely. Client site locations may require travel and overnight/extended stay
    • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
