    KPMG is currently seeking an Advisory Intern within the Deal Advisory & Strategy practice.

    Responsibilities:

    • Use the latest data analytics techniques on varied big-data to answer the deal-related problems of some of the largest US companies and industries

    • Extract industry and business-specific insights using custom workflows, databases and procedures to advance engagements and business deals

    • Help convey insights and solutions by building dynamic visualizations using the latest industry tools

    • Research business and data nuances relevant to a clients industry to support analytics projects within Deal Advisory and Strategy Translate analytical findings into impactful and cutting-edge recommendations to a clients C-suite, all at deal-speed

    • Support a multi-disciplinary Analytics team with a specialization in machine learning, data science and design

    Qualifications:

    • Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing the following degrees/majors; Bachelors or Masters degree in a quantitative field such as Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, IT, Engineering or other related field

    • Must have a current/most recent GPA of 3.00 or above

    • Coursework or demonstrated understanding of basic accounting principles is a plus

    • Demonstrated quality service mindset and knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) and advanced Excel skills (including pivot tables, formulas, macros and external data connections)

    • Understanding or knowledge of SQL Server, R. Python, Alteryx, PowerBI and/or Tableau a plus

    • Strong technical aptitude, critical thinking skills and ability to navigate MS Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook

    • Excellent communication, time management and leadership skills; flexible and adaptable team player; and resourceful in delivering high quality work

    • Work location may be in the office, at client sites, or virtual/remote depending on business need. You must be located within the U.S. when working remotely. Client site locations may require travel and overnight/extended stay

    • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
