    KPMG is currently seeking an Associate Advisory for our Cyber Security Services practice in Consulting.

    Responsibilities:

    • Support the delivery of client engagements through the execution of tasks identified to reduce risk related to Information Security
    • Identify and evaluate complex business and technology risks, remediation methods to mitigate risks and security improvement opportunities
    • Research and understand cyber security related topics, concepts, tools and processes to support client delivery
    • Some individuals may be required to deploy various technologies to establish data privacy and security controls which may include performing malware triage, cyber incident response host, network and mobile device forensics
    • Provide support with some of the following areas: threat assessments, design and/or implementation of infrastructure/platform/software security, Cyber Response forensic lab, security monitoring and incident response methodology, information security risk assessment, data protection and privacy impact assessment, data classification or information governance, enterprise information security strategy, compliance monitoring and user awareness campaign, data leakage/content monitoring and filtering or data encryption and compliance readiness, such as PCI and HIPAA

    Qualifications:

    • Must be pursuing and have obtained by the start date or have completed the following degrees majors in the past 12 months: Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Systems and Technology, Data Science, Computer Science, Computer Programming, Cyber Security, System Analysis, Applied Technology Management, Business & Computer Information, Database Technology, Technology Marketing or a related discipline from an accredited college or university
    • Knowledge of common Cyber Security related technologies such as desktop and server operating systems (OS X, Windows, Linux, UNIX), Active Directory, cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCS), fundamental networking concepts (TCP/IP suite of protocols, firewalls, routing and switching), virtualization platforms (VMWare) and development (.Net and Java in particular), privacy and related regulations additionally including exposure to ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, NIST 800 series; familiarity with concepts of risk, control, threat and vulnerability, cyber forensic and investigation tools, including Sleuthkit, Elastisearch, Kibana, Logstash, FTK, Encase and XWays
    • Must have a current/most recent GPA of 3.00 or above
    • Strong technical aptitude, demonstrated quality service mindset, critical thinking and quantitative skills and ability to navigate MS Office applications (including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook) with a general understanding of data analysis techniques
    • Excellent communication, time management and leadership skills; flexible and adaptable team player; and resourceful in delivering high quality work
    • Work location may be in the office, at client sites, or virtual/remote depending on business need. You must be located within the U.S. when working remotely. Client site locations may require travel and overnight/extended stay
    • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future
