KPMG's valuation professionals provide clients robust and informed guidance on valuation matters across multiple sectors, deal stages and business needs. We determine fair (market) value of equity shares, assets or complex financial instruments for mergers and acquisitions, financial reporting, tax and other regulatory standards. Our engagements include providing pre and post deal Purchase Price Allocations (PPA), Impairment Testing, employee or management incentive scheme valuations and recurring fund valuations. KPMG is currently seeking an Associate to join our Economic & Valuation Services (EVS) practice.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform statistical, economic and financial analysis on economic, regulatory and policy issues of significance to a range of clients in the public and private sectors, both domestically and internationally
Create and apply complex financial models to analyze and price complex transactions and financial instruments
Develop mathematical and computational models to simulate impact of policy changes or business decisions
Manipulate large data sets to support statistical, economic and financial analyses
Write technical and non-technical reports based on research
Document narratives on the issues under analysis, translate these into informative professional reports and present as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be pursuing and have obtained by the start date or have completed the following degrees/majors in the past 12 months; Bachelor抯 degree or Masters in Economics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Management, Data and Analytics, Finance, or related field from an accredited college or university
Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above
Coursework or knowledge of management and analysis of large volumes of data, financial analysis and valuation, statistical analysis, building and working with economic or mathematical models and econometric analyses
Knowledge of data analysis software including STATA, SAS, Python, SQL, R, JavaScript, Matlab, Fortran and C/C++
Demonstrated quality service mindset; strong technical aptitude, critical thinking skills and ability to navigate MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Access, Power BI), Alteryx, Tableau and similar data analysis and visualization tools
Excellent communication, time management and leadership skills; flexible and adaptable team player; and resourceful in delivering high quality work
Ability to travel and/or work on-site at client premises as needed, at times with relatively short notice
Authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future is preferred
