JOB DESCRIPTION

Cintas is currently looking for an IT Intern for the Security team. As an Intern in IT Security you will have the opportunity to work with security specialists and learn how Cintas protects partner, vendor, and customer data against cyber threats. You will assist the team with security monitoring, incident handling, and task automation. You will be exposed to the latest security technologies and best practices within a Fortune 500 company. This is an opportunity to bring your creative solutions to real security challenges.

Role:

• Monitor and analyze data feeds of alerts and logs to detect security violations and determine vulnerabilities

• Create, test, and implement automation scripts to reduce time on repetitive security tasks

• Assess threat and vulnerability information from all sources (both internal and external), promptly applying applicable mitigation techniques and communicate information to leadership

• Help to define and implement security controls

• Ensure existing system security controls are in place an implemented correctly

• Support enterprise vulnerability scanning and remediation campaigns

• Assist in policy and procedure documentation

• Conduct triage of escalated security events and incidents and document progress throughout the Incident Response lifecycle

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

Required

• Currently enrolled in an associate's, bachelor's or master's degree program in computer science, information systems, or other IT-related field

• Comfortable with scripting and development (e.g. Python / PowerShell), including documentation

• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office suite (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams)

• Knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in engineering, information systems, and related technical support

• Knowledge of network, desktop and server technologies

• Knowledge of Vulnerability Management (scanning and patching)
