    KPMG is currently seeking an Intern to join our Economic & Valuation Services (EVS) practice.

    Responsibilities:

    • Analyze financial information to forecast business conditions and develop financial analytics solutions for strategic and management planning; investment appraisal; project finance and mergers and acquisitions including integrations and divestitures

    • Interpret data on future risk trends, economic influences and other factors to identify issues and propose strategies related to the procedures executed

    • Evaluate current and historical financial data

    • Study economic and business trends

    • Stay abreast of current business and economic developments and use technology and tools to innovate and enhance the effectiveness of services provided

    • Consistently deliver quality client services by monitoring progress and demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge

    Qualifications:

    • Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing the following degrees/majors; Bachelors or Masters degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Data Analytics or a related field

    • Upon completion of this internship candidates must have additional academic credits to complete before obtaining their degree and/or CPA eligibility requirements

    • Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above

    • Experience or coursework in building financial analytics models and tools from scratch in MS Excel, experience with one or more of the following: VBA, MS Access, SQL Server, Data Visualization applications (such as Tableau, Power BI, or Spotfire) and Alteryx is preferred

    • Proficiency at developing and explaining fully integrated 3-Statement financial models in Microsoft Excel

    • Experience or coursework working with a formal business modeling and analytics practice within an investment banking, commercial banking, financial planning and analysis, accounting, or consulting firm, or experience working within an in house-corporate development or FP&A team

    • Excellent communication, time management, critical thinking, problem solving and leadership skills; flexible and adaptable team player; and resourceful in delivering high quality work

    • Ability to travel and/or work on-site at client premises as needed, at times with relatively short notice

    • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
