KPMG is currently seeking an Intern, Emerging Products and Services, AI Product Engineering for Digital Nexus.

Responsibilities:

• Support generative AI initiatives by assisting with the development, testing and integration of large language models (LLMs), applying foundational AI concepts to real world internal innovation use cases
• Contribute to cloud based AI solutions by supporting development and experimentation activities in a cloud environment (preferably Azure), including writing and modifying code or scripts using languages such as C Sharp, .NET, Python and related scripting technologies
• Perform hands on tasks across the generative AI lifecycle, including data preparation, model training and evaluation, research on emerging AI capabilities and supporting AI related workshops, presentations and internal communications
• Document AI development processes, experiments and outcomes by creating clear technical and non technical documentation, reports and presentations to communicate progress, insights and results to project teams and stakeholders
• Apply responsible AI principles by adhering to ethical guidelines and best practices in AI development, including data privacy, fairness, transparency and security, while operating with professionalism and integrity in all project work
• Navigate ambiguity by synthesizing information from multiple sources, connecting concepts across initiatives and delivering assigned work within established timelines in a fast paced, innovation focused environment

Qualifications:

• Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing the following degrees/majors; Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Human and Computer Interaction, Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Process Design and Engineering, Product Design, User Experience or equivalent program from an accredited college or university
• Must have a current/most recent GPA of 3.0 or above
• Strong technical aptitude, critical thinking skills and ability to navigate MS Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
• Understanding of business processes and information management concepts, with exposure to project management methodologies and best practices; the ability to apply these principles in a structured, collaborative technology environment is a plus
• Excellent communication, time management and emerging leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively as a flexible, adaptable team player and deliver high quality work in a fast paced technology environment
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive and privileged information
• Work location may be in the office, at client sites, or virtual/remote depending on business need; you must be located within the U.S. when working remotely; client site locations may require travel and overnight/extended stay
