    KPMG is currently seeking an Intern for Finance & Accounting.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Assist with various day-to-day tax return preparation activities which may include, but are not limited to: analysis / analytics, reconciliations, research / follow-up on open items, preparing necessary tax work papers, working with tax accountants to develop and/or creation of process documentation

    • Assist in the state K-1 testing process

    • Develop solutions to ad-hoc analytical, reporting and/or other requests utilizing available tools and technologies

    • Take projects or tasks from start to completion and track progress on multi-step projects

    • Assisting with preparing/reviewing state partnership and composite returns

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing the following degrees/majors; Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or equivalent program

    • Must have a current/most recent GPA of 3.0 or above

    • Strong technical aptitude, critical thinking skills and ability to navigate MS Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook with Microsoft Access experience preferred

    • Excellent communication, time management and leadership skills; flexible and adaptable team player; and resourceful in delivering high quality work

    • Ability to travel and/or work on-site at client premises as needed, at times with relatively short notice

    • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
