KPMG is currently seeking an Intern to join our Ignition Tax team.

Responsibilities:

• Support teams who work with internal stakeholders and external clients to understand overall operational, data and information requirements for tax processes including documenting tax processes and organization, analyzing tax data, calculations and reports while understanding technology environment and interfaces

• Assist with the evaluation of clients resource model, processes and technology to develop recommendations for improvement, including optimizing resources, processes and controls and technology

• Help with implementing one or a combination of the recommendations, technology applications and refined processes as well as controls and resource models

• Support and help prepare documents in formats consistent with project objectives, deadlines and deliverables

• Help teams develop and maintain project plans and other project management functions

• Serve the business and variety of KPMG member firm clients within multiple industries while working effectively with various technology groups, clients and tax domain specialists

Qualifications:

• Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing the following degrees/majors; Bachelors and/or Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, Data & Analytics, Operations Management, Business Economics, Statistics or Business from an accredited college/university

• Upon completion of this internship candidates must have additional academic credits to complete before obtaining their degree and/or CPA eligibility requirements

• Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above

• Demonstrated quality service mindset; strong technical aptitude, critical thinking, quantitative skills and problem-solving skills and ability to navigate MS Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook

• Excellent communication, time management and leadership skills; flexible and adaptable team player; and resourceful in delivering high quality work

• Ability to travel and/or work on-site at client premises as needed, at times with relatively short notice

• Authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future is preferred
