KPMG is currently seeking an Intern, Internal Data Services for Digital Nexus.

Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of tasks related to the governance, management and maintenance of data, including but not limited to standards development, metadata management and reporting
• Document data interfaces and data mappings; analyze and interpret data
• Develop and maintain clear business and technical requirements documentation to support data initiatives, solution design and implementation
• Support the Internal Data Services leadership team in the overall operations of the data organization
• Identify and implement cross-functional process improvement opportunities that support the Internal Data organization
• Implement Large Language Models (LLM) powered solutions to accelerate the software development lifecycle, including automated coding generation, bug detection and test case creation

Qualifications:

• Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing the following degrees/majors; Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science; Data Science; Data Analytics; Data Engineering; Information Systems / Management Information Systems; Information and Data Science; Information Management; Business Analytics; Cognitive Science (data focused); or equivalent program from an accredited college or university
• Must have a current/most recent GPA of 3.0 or above
• Experience with data sourcing, analysis and integration, along with a strong programming foundation (Python preferred)
• Knowledge of AI and machine learning concepts, with an interest in applying these techniques to data driven and automation use cases
• Strong technical aptitude, critical thinking skills and ability to navigate MS Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
• Excellent communication, time management and emerging leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively as a flexible, adaptable team player and deliver high quality work in a fast paced technology environment; ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive and privileged information
• Work location may be in the office, at client sites, or virtual/remote depending on business need; you must be located within the U.S. when working remotely; client site locations may require travel and overnight/extended stay
