    At RSM, interns work with large and small companies in various industries. Industries include, but are not limited to, business and professional services, consumer products, financial services, health care, industrials, technology media and telecommunications, and more. Transfer pricing staff develop strong working relationships with multinational clients built on understanding their businesses and challenges. Interns work on multiple team engagements simultaneously, and therefore learn strong time and project management skills.     Examples of the candidate’s responsibilities include:

    • Working effectively on a team with other staff and managers on client engagements through the entire engagement life cycle, which includes planning, preparing, and completing tax and transfer pricing projects
    • Consulting on international tax and transfer pricing planning, documentation and policy implementation
    • Evaluating intercompany transfers of tangible goods, intangible property, services, and loans through detailed economic, financial, and accounting analyses for tax and regulatory compliance through the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and various statistical sampling databases
    • Performing industry and market research, economic valuations, comparative financial benchmarking, and report documentation, demonstrating an understanding of transfer pricing concepts and method application to cases
    • Reviewing and analyzing IFRS/GAAP financial statements
    • Interacting with client personnel to gather information
    • Completing high-level domestic and international tax planning and research with guidance from the international tax team to build successful cross-border tax strategies
    • Developing a high-level understanding of worldwide tax minimization, transfer pricing, and accounting for income taxes

    Basic qualifications:

    • Minimum 90 credits completed towards B.A., B.S., or J.D. degree or equivalent from an accredited university (e.g., Economics, Finance, Business Management, Accounting, etc.)
    • Pursuing your CPA is a plus, but not necessary
    • Minimum 3.0 GPA (Additional accreditation is required for future advancement)
    • Knowledge in several of the following areas: financial statement analysis, valuations, quantitative analysis, industry analysis, and statistical sampling and econometrics
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including strong attention to detail
    • Strong research and computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively
    • Minimal travel to assigned client locations is required. Must have access to and ability to arrange for use of reliable modes of transportation to those locations, when applicable
    • Ability to work effectively on a team
    • Ability to work and multitask in a fast-paced environment
    • Foreign language skills are a plus, but not necessary

    At RSM, an employee’s pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

    Compensation Range: $34 - $40 per hour
