    KPMG is currently seeking an Intern for our Business Tax Services practice.

    Responsibilities:

    • Help execute on law department and law firm strategy, process and technology optimization projects
    • Support progress against project milestones to help ensure timely completion of project deliverables
    • Develop recommendations on how to integrate technology and process improvement and change management activities
    • Create and analyze metrics, performance measurements, requirements, reports/recommendations related to management, organizational structure and policies/procedures
    • Design, develop, manage and document processes and project plans in a complex and dynamic environment, adjusting as needed to meet changing client requirements
    • Support the selection, implementation and optimization of legal technologies including Generative AI, Workflow Automation, Enterprise Legal Management, Contract Lifecycle Management, eBilling, Matter Management and more
    • Build capabilities in key technologies that enable tax professionals for client service delivery such as artificial intelligence (AI), Alteryx, Power BI and more

    Qualifications:

    • Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing the following degrees/majors: Bachelors and/or Masters in Business, Accounting, Data Science, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Pre-Law Studies, Public Policy/Government, Statistics, or equivalent program
    • Upon completion of this internship, candidates must have additional academic credits to complete before obtaining their degree and/or CPA eligibility requirements Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above
    • Coursework or minor in Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science or Data and Analytics is preferred
    • Understanding of business transformation, functional processes, financial management, technology, resourcing, performance management, and change management relating to corporate legal departments, law firms and other legal-sector related businesses strongly preferred
    • Experience preparing and conducting business analysis and studies, needs assessments, requirement analysis/definition and cost benefit analysis
    • Demonstrated quality service mindset; strong technical aptitude, critical thinking skills, business writing skills and ability to navigate Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Access, Power BI), Alteryx, Tableau, artificial intelligence (AI) and similar data analysis and visualization tools
    • Excellent communication, time management, analytical and leadership skills; flexible and adaptable team player; and resourceful in delivering high quality work
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and take ownership of assigned tasks
    • Must reside within a reasonably commutable distance to the office for this position and be able to travel to reasonably commutable work locations using own means of transportation, such as a personal vehicle or public transportation
    • Ability to travel and/or work on-site at client premises as needed, at times with relatively short notice
    • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
