    RSM’s dedicated Family Office Enterprise (FOE) practice helps define and sustain a family’s vision across their family office, operating business and investment structures. We seek to understand the goals of ultra-high net worth families with our customized and integrated cross-Line of Business services, technology and insights.     As a Tax Senior Associate, you will be responsible for the following, focused on your technical expertise and ability to work on a collaborative team to deliver excellent client service. You will have an opportunity to work across various client types (family office, business owners, ultra-high net worth individuals and families) to gain experience in the following areas:

    • Individual tax planning and compliance
    • Entity tax planning and compliance
    • Trust / Estate / Gift tax planning and compliance

    You will continue to develop your technical expertise, build long-lasting client relationships and gain experience by working on a high-performing collaborative team dedicated to solving complex business and family issues while providing excellent client service.     Job Responsibilities

    • Plan and execute tax engagements as part of a collaborative team, including tax compliance and strategic tax consulting
    • Review of work to ensure high quality results
    • Delegate work to team members while providing coaching to develop others
    • Develop and sustain strong relationships with clients and other professional advisors through a commitment to outstanding client service
    • Review client’s current tax processes to identify inefficiencies and provide enhancements to improve the client experience and reduce tax exposure

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field from an accredited university
    • Will have completed all educational requirements for CPA licensure eligibility in the state in which you'll reside or completed all requirements to sit for the Bar exam, by start date
    • Minimum two years experience in public accounting or tax-related work
    • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel
    • Ability to meet client service, quality, and performance expectations within applicable deadlines and in accordance with firm and client standards
    • Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and effectively with firm personnel and clients in person, by telephone, and through electronic or written means
    • Effective project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities, tasks, and projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy and quality of work in a fast paced, client service environment
    • Ability to work effectively in a professional office environment and, as required by the role, at client sites, including the ability to sit for extended periods of time and work at a computer and other standard office equipment
    • Ability to maintain consistent, onsite presence during core business hours including the ability to regularly report to a firm office location and travel to client sites as required, including access to reliable transportation
    • Ability to work extended and/or non standard hours during peak periods or as necessary to meet client, project, or firm business needs

    Preferred Qualifications

    • An active accreditation obtained, in process or willing and able to obtain one of the following: CPA, EA, or licensed attorney
    • Advanced degree (Master’s in Accounting, Taxation, or MBA)
    • Experience with large or national accounting firms
    • Working knowledge of tax code and compliance
    • Familiarity with tax preparation and review processes

    At RSM, an employee’s pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

    Compensation Range: $67,900 - $128,700

    Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
