    Opportunity:

    • Analysis & Research Training: Working within the Analysis and & Research Center, Brunswick’s global network of research and information professionals, Account Researchers develop a strong foundation in the research methods, tools, and deliverables that underpin Brunswick’s communications advisory business, in both traditional and digital domains.

    • Client Engagement: Account Researchers also work closely with senior communications professionals on client engagements and internal initiatives across Brunswick’s key specialist sectors and practice areas including M&A, crisis and activism. The position offers valuable experience and opportunities for candidates interested in strategic communications, media, public relations, financial PR, public affairs and employee engagement.

    • Path to Executive: After 18 to 24 months, Account Researchers who have successfully developed key research and communications skills and have demonstrated proficiency and professionalism in their work supporting clients and internal teams will be considered for promotion to the position of Executive in one of Brunswick’s five U.S. offices – New York, San Francisco, Chicago, Dallas and Washington, D.C.

    • Select digital, social media projects and marketing activities

    Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

    • Conducting background research on industries, companies, people, topics
    • Supporting new business efforts by helping staff prepare for pitches and proposals
    • Monitoring client news, often in real-time
    • Analyzing traditional and social media with qualitative and quantitative methods
    • Preparing reporter backgrounders, media lists, story pitches
    • Identifying and assessing publicity opportunities for clients
    • Performing competitive analyses of clients and peer groups
    • Tracking and analyzing key issues and preparing newsletters on timely topics
    • Locating and pulling financial data from tools such as Bloomberg
    • Drafting and proofing materials such as press releases, stakeholder letters, Q&A transcripts
    • Participating in strategy and brainstorm sessions
    • Keeping client accounts running smoothly

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Interest in media, public relations, and corporate communications

    • Basic understanding of financial terminology
