Zumado Public Relations, an award-winning boutique public relations firm specializing in representing law firms and other professional service industries, is seeking a paid fall intern in our downtown San Rafael office. Candidates must be able to work a regular schedule of at least 2 full days or 3 part-days each week (M-F) starting in September, and must either be college students or hold a college degree.

Our ideal intern is a highly motivated media lover who is hyper-organized, pays tremendous attention to detail, and boasts impeccable grammar/proofreading skills. You’re adept at multitasking and quickly getting up to speed on new subject matter. And, importantly, you have a positive attitude and are a fun person to be around.

Our team is small and you will work directly with your supervisors, gaining valuable hands-on experience and a window into the fast-paced world of PR. 99% of what you will do is work that everyone on our team does – this is not an internship filled with grunt work. A typical day might include creating a media list of journalists specializing in a specific beat, conducting research to identify a hot topic/news story we can leverage for our clients, tracking for press coverage of clients, drafting/proofing various documents, and interacting with journalists.

We prefer candidates who have had some public relations or journalism experience at the college or professional level. No experience in the legal/professional services space required.
