The Language Doctors, Inc. (TLD) is looking for a candidate interested in learning how to be an effective project manager at a small business. Project managers take on the management of key client projects with the goal of delivering every project on time, within budget and within its guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate internal processes to comply with the client’s requirements before initiating negotiations with translators/proofreaders.
- Ensure resource availability and allocation.
- Lead rate negotiations with proofreaders and translators in order to maintain the project within the client’s budget.
- Administer tests to proofreaders/translators before offering a complete report of strengths and weaknesses to support the hiring process of this particular individual.
- Maintain rigorous quality control and assurance processes in order to meet the client’s requirements for each assignment.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Input data into excel sheets to compile all pertinent information and document measurements for the project’s progress and performance.
- Manage multiple deadlines effectively and work with supervising Project Manager to ensure that all aspects of the project are handled correctly.
- Report and escalate to management as needed.
