    Job Description

    Construction Accountant will look after the day to day finances and financial reporting for the firm's commercial construction projects and internal accounting functions throughout Texas. Alongside this the Construction Accountant will be responsible for but not just limited to: • Preparation of owner draws, collections and subcontractor compliance • Perform full financial report an analysis to include journal entries, job costs, project scheduling and overall project costing. • Will work closely with all members of the project team (Project Managers, Engineers, Superintendents and Field Office Coordinators • Cash management and reconciliation reporting • Risk management and leading the Notice to Owner (NTO) tracking. • Project accounting including preparing owner draws, collection and subcontractor compliance. • Creation and analysis of financial reports • Journal entries and job costs for projects • Responsible for the cash management reporting, Invoice reporting, Time cards, Internal Accountant (including AP, AR and Wages) • Assist with strategic planning/forecasting of project financials • Cash management and reporting • Assist with project audits The Successful Applicant The successful Construction Accountant candidate must come from a strong Construction and Project Accounting background and had experience of working closely with subcontractors and owner draws. Alongside this you must posses: • 3 years of accounting experience preferable within the construction industry • Has experience within the subcontractor market • Previous Project management / Construction Accounting experience • Must have CMIC experience • Good knowledge of the construction / commercial real estate construction industry • Has shown Strong leadership, communication and financial coordination track record throughout previous employment • Been able to work on significant commercial real estate projects.

    Must have exp with Liens, know Quickbooks or Sage and Accounting exp. In addition to this candidate would be based from home and have to support the project managers
