    Looking for a Lead Commercial Superintendent with Restaurant Construction experience to oversee and administer the onsite day-to-day general operations of one or more projects, typically from start to finish of each project. Superintendents are the principal company representative at their assigned project sites, are given wide discretion in carrying out their duties, and are expected to be able to properly interpret and implement company policies and procedures, including all applicable safety rules and requirements.     General Description: Supervises and coordinates activities of construction labor, foremen and subcontractors to ensure a safe jobsite, quality construction, compliance with design specifications, all within scope and budget.

    Responsibilities

    Meets with manager as soon as job is awarded, and thereafter, to review and plan for materials, safety, labor, scheduling and equipment budgets and other issues on upcoming job; makes pre-jobsite visits as required.

    Meets regularly with manager to review progress of ongoing jobs and to discuss problem decisions outside of limits, authority and control.

    Direct all field personnel and subcontractors to achieve completion of projects on schedule, within budget and with the quality of workmanship that conforms to all plans and specifications.

    Reads and interprets specifications and plans to determine construction requirements and plan procedures.

    Provides overall management and administration for construction projects.

    Maintain construction schedule while identifying and solving potential problems.

    Establish and monitor responsibilities to foremen and assigned crewmembers.

    Thoroughly understands the contract and ensures accurate execution of plans, specifications, statement of work, performance work statements, task orders, safety plans, quality control plan and all other project-related plans and procedures.

    Ensures all reports and records originating on-site or managed by on-site field crews are complete in an accurate and timely manner and forwarded to the appropriate company personnel.

    Records information such as personnel, production and operation data on specified forms and reports.

    Establish and maintain contact with appropriate city officials and inspectors.

    Recommend solutions such as improving production methods or implementing motivational plans and reviews them with manager.

    Perform the duties above efficiently and effectively and in a skillful manner.

    Performs duties not otherwise stated above as directed by manager.

    Reports to work as scheduled.

    Skills and Abilities

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    Ability to use Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel.

    Ability to use email systems.

    Ability to use smart phones.

    Ability to prioritize, exercise sound independent judgment, and communicate with co-workers.

    Strong knowledge of construction methods and construction safety laws.

    Required Education and Experience

    High school diploma or equivalent required.

    At least 3-5 years of experience in hotel, restaurant, gas station or multifamily construction.

    Experience in reconstruction industry preferred, but not required.

    Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to provide clear direction and inspire excellent performance to achieve interim and final milestones.

    Proven ability to make the right decisions under pressure.

    Excellent references attesting to high level of energy, can-do attitude, history of achievement and co-worker respect.

    Experience and proficiency in all divisions of work, methods, materials, scheduling, and cost control.

    Must have understanding and knowledge of fire codes, city codes and working knowledge of OSHA regulations.
