Position title: SuperintendentDesired Project Experience: Industrial, Commercial, Hospitality, Self-Storage and Retail.Reports to: Project ManagerPosition summary: Direct and monitor the progress of construction activities while maintaining safetyand schedule requirements.Responsibilities: Assist in preconstruction activities on projects; scope development, scheduling and estimating. Orchestrate a plan from the beginning of construction to completion of the project, includingaccurately projecting construction activities for scheduling purposes. Interpret drawings, details of drawings, and specifications. Achieve objectives through direction of individuals, teams, and sub-contractors. Work with senior management, track job progress and job costs. Complete daily reports and daily safety inspections. Submit all documentation (RFI’s, as-builts, pictures, etc.) as required. Direct, coordinate, and facilitate meetings for owners, subcontractors, architects, and localauthorities. Manage all punch list items. Insure that all outstanding punch list items for a job are completed ontime. Effectively use CSI format through the construction process. Identify potential sales opportunities and communicate the opportunities to senior management. Show positive and courteous verbal skills in all working environments. Provide general estimates for construction materials based on volume, areas, elevations, cubicareas, square foot areas, and framing materials. Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications: Ability to travel. High school diploma required. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related fieldpreferred. Minimum ten years commercial construction superintendent. First Aid/CPR certification required. Must complete 30h OSHA training. Storm Water Management certification required. Fluency with Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and other computer software packages. Ability to conceptualize the “big picture” from blueprints and construction drawings and translate thatvision into a well-constructed facility. Ability to problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
