    ABOUT THE DOTDASH MEREDITH SUMMER INTERN PROGRAM:

    The Dotdash Meredith Summer Intern Program is a full-time program that runs for 10 weeks (6/6/22-8/12/22), with a competitive compensation rate. The program consists of hands-on learning, opportunities to create work that has an impact, workshops in preparing you for post-college life (resume / interviewing), and some fun events throughout the summer!

    This position is based on-site in our Des Moines, Iowa office (with a hybrid schedule).

    ABOUT YOUR ROLE:

    The food group of Dotdash Meredith's Premium Publishing division creates recipes and magazines for brands such as Better Homes and Gardens, Allrecipes, Eating Well, Forks Over Knives, Hungry Girl, and more. We are looking for a passionate editorial intern to help with day-to-day operations within our group and create pages for our publications.

    ABOUT YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS:

    • Make updates to recipe CMS

    • Participate in brainstorming sessions and other meetings to learn how recipes and content are created

    • Write, research, and produce content as needed

    • Develop recipes and edit recipes (if knowledge/skills support)

    • Assist with writing photo plans

    • Shadow nutrition specialists in the Test Kitchen and test recipes (if skills support)

    • Participate in food photography sessions

    • Provide input during/critique in taste panels and discussions within the kitchen and photo studios

    ABOUT YOU:

    • Currently pursuing a bachelor's in journalism or food/nutrition (with a minor in journalism)

    • Passion for food and nutrition preferred

    • Eye for detail and great attention to accuracy

    • Self-motivated and can work independently

    • Strong organizational skills

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite
