ABOUT THE DOTDASH MEREDITH SUMMER INTERN PROGRAM:
The Dotdash Meredith Summer Intern Program is a full-time program that runs for 10 weeks (6/6/22-8/12/22), with a competitive compensation rate. The program consists of hands-on learning, opportunities to create work that has an impact, workshops in preparing you for post-college life (resume / interviewing), and some fun events throughout the summer!

This position can be based either in our New York City or Des Moines office (with a hybrid schedule) or Remote.
ABOUT YOUR ROLE:
Lifewire is looking for a sharp social media creator with a passion for all things consumer tech who can help us build a social media program. The Social Media Intern will work with the Lifewire team to build a more robust social presence and execute daily publishing to our social channels-driving brand awareness through platform-specific strategies, increasing traffic for all of our content, growing our audience, and creating an engaged community.
The right candidate will demonstrate a deep understanding of the consumer tech landscape and have ideas about how to bring technology news and how-tos to life on social platforms. They'll be able to help conceptualize and execute a plan for growing our existing social accounts (and launching new ones) using smart content creation and curation, including promoting existing content while brainstorming and helping to create new and creative social media campaigns.
ABOUT YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS:
Write compelling, social-friendly, impeccable copy for evergreen and news content that reflects our brand voice and values
Help build a strong original voice for Lifewire, focusing on "tech for humans" with a little bit of worldliness and a tech-savvy tone that never talks down
Work closely with editorial and growth teams to promote existing content across LIfewire categories, including News, Evergreen, and Commerce
Help shape and evolve our brand voice to make us better at educating and entertaining our audiences
Watch for social media trends relevant to consumer technology to ensure we don't miss opportunities to engage and inform
Help create and manage a social media content calendar
Help generate and analyze performance reports for all of our social media platforms to help inform future strategy
ABOUT YOU:
Experience managing a brand's social media platforms
Proficiency with writing, editing, and curation of content on social networks such as Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and TikTok
Experience with analytics tools to create reports and inform strategy
Experience with social media schedulers like HootSuite
Familiarity with the consumer technology industry
