A day as a CBRE Investment Management Intern

You would have the opportunity to work in one of many exciting areas of the organization. You could work on cash flow modeling with our finance team, rationalize a big data set to find trends with our analytics team, participate in potential investor industry review with our private infrastructure team, or understand the metrics of a deal by underwriting leases and maintaining property models with our strategic partners team.

The Experience

• A 10 - week, full-time, paid, internship located in LA or Boston with a potential opportunity to join the organization for a full-time role in the future.

• You will have the opportunity to network with CBRE IM leaders, as well as those within the larger CBRE organization.

• You will learn from the best through a series of executive webinars with top company leaders

• You will be included in team meetings, gaining the inside scoop of how our high performing teams achieve results

• You will participate in fun social events and be given the opportunity to network with your fellow interns

• You will have the opportunity to present a capstone project at the end of the summer to showcase your work and abilities

Areas of Focus

We will have internship opportunities in the following business functions:

Insights and Intelligence - Analytics (Boston Location):

• We see through the eyes of our investors, users, and occupiers. Combining this unique perspective with extensive data, analytics, and insight helps identify actionable trends that inform decisions and execution.

• CBRE IM offers opportunities to advance your research and analytics skills helping clients generate performance across the real assets spectrum.

Indirect Private Real Estate (LA Location):

• We are an industry leader in the provision of global customized indirect real estate investment solutions. Work on customized real estate investment solutions globally and regionally.

• CBRE IM offers opportunities to build portfolios that give clients access to transactions and specialist strategies, including a range of alternative property types. You will be exposed to a number of Fund and Separate Account solutions available to our investors.

Minimum Qualifications

• Currently a junior pursuing your undergraduate degree in Finance, Real estate, Economics, Business, Accounting, Math, or similar

• Strong interest in real estate, numbers, and analysis

• Critical thinking skills

• Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite: Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and especially Excel

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Argus and cash flow modeling
