Position Summary
Reporting to the Associate Vice President of Talent and Culture , the Manager, Recruitment & Staffing develops recruitment and hiring methods and processes that harmonize the different business units across the organization. Additionally, this role will serve as a key advisor to the Associate Vice President, Talent & Culture, managing workforce development programs that create pipelines of talent into Abode Communities. This role will be a member of the Talent and Culture team and have the opportunity to modify and design the recruitment function, ensuring candidates and managers experience a seamless process rooted in Racial Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging.

Recruitment and Staffing
Acts as “the first face” of Abode Communities for candidates by serving as the main point of contact for during the recruitment process.
Serve as Abode’s “cultural ambassador” for candidates.
Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified and diverse job applicants for open positions within assigned portfolio.
Collaborates with hiring managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings; drafts job descriptions.
Works closely with staffing agencies to fill temporary openings and manages external recruiters.
Refines recruiting process and procedures based on aligning industry best practices with Abode’s diverse recruitment and talent needs.
Maintains job description library and ensures legal compliance with all applicable state and federal laws.
In close association with AVP, Talent & Culture and AVP, Marketing & Communications develop and refine the employment brand, maximizing the Employee Value Proposition (EVP) of Abode Communities.
Maintains software (ATS), data, and reporting needs to support execution and development of recruitment strategy
Partners with and trains hiring managers and staff on process/procedures to support an effective recruiting process that aligns with Abode’s REDI initiatives (including anti-bias training and best practices) which includes training on recruitment process and procedures.
Develops, maintains, and reports via key performance indicators (KPIs) dashboard of the organization’s recruitment and staffing practices and effectivity.
Oversee the offer negotiation process with candidates, ensuring that the process is rooted in equitable, holistic, and informed practices.
Work closely with the AVP, talent & Culture to refine the organizations Compensation Philosophy and provide regular data regarding the competitiveness of our compensation salary scales.
Works closely with the Manager of Talent Operations and the Manager of Talent & Culture (HRBP) to ensure a seamless onboarding process for new employees.
In close association with the Manager of Talent & Culture and the Human capital Committee, oversee and execute a Bi-Monthly New Hire Orientation (NHO).
Maintains database of job posting sites and networks that maximize the reach of Abode Communities into diverse talent pools.
Workforce Development
Helps identify new recruitment sources and establish relationships with local colleges, industry associations and other organizations.
Manages partnerships with non-profit organizations, community colleges, trade schools, and universities; regularly attends career fairs; develops and maintains relationships with local and industry-specific career centers.
Other
Qualifications
5+ years of recruitment/talent acquisition experience, high-volume and specialized/niche search experience preferred;
Previous experience in a non-profit setting, preferred but not required;
Previous experience working in affordable housing or real estate is preferred but not required;
Demonstrated experience managing a diverse talent pipeline and supporting hiring managers at every stage of the recruitment process;
Experience sourcing diverse talent and implementing DEI best practices in the recruitment process;
Excellent communication and customer service skills;
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software;
Proficient with ATS systems-knowledge of Paycom a plus;
Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
Ability to travel within Abode Communities’ service area

Compensation and Benefits
The target annualized salary range for this role is $80,000 - $ 90,000; offers are commensurate with the education and experience of the finalist. Additionally, a full benefits package is offered which includes: health, dental and vision insurance, long term disability insurance, 401K plan, paid vacation and sick leave benefits. Abode Communities' corporate staff work on a 9/80 schedule allowing for every other Friday off.
