JOB SUMMARY
To gain a broad overview of the multiple aspects of the Client Accounting Services group by observing and assisting accounting professionals, as well as performing a variety of accounting duties in support of various Client Accounting Services Departments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
May assist in assembling, analyzing and reconciling general ledger, bank reconciliation and month end related entries.
Research open accounting issues and discrepancies.
Verify the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications assigned to various source documents.
Assist in month end procedures and preparation of financial reporting packages to forward to the field offices.
Participate in informational overview, including observing and assisting within the various Client Accounting Services functional areas; such as AP, AR, lease admin, etc.
Other duties may be assigned.

Education/Experience
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s (BA/BS) program from an accredited four-year college or university, in Accounting or related discipline. Third-year student status preferred.

Communication Skills
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret various types of business documents. Ability to effectively respond verbally or in writing to basic inquiries. Requires a high level of commitment to customer service.
Financial Knowledge
Requires intermediate knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to perform basic financial analysis and accounting calculations. Requires a basic understanding of internal controls as well as a basic understanding of financial reporting rules and regulations.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to understand and carry out instructions in standard situations. Ability to identify and solve various types of problems. Requires strong analytical and quantitative skills.
Other Skills and/or abilities
Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure with a proactive approach to unusual occurrences. Requires good organizational skills, attention to detail and an openness to new ideas and procedures. General experience with MS Office software.
