BIOTECH PATENT AGENT OR ASSOCIATE - DALLAS, TX 

One of our top law firm's is seeking a biotech patent agent or attorney with excellent academic credentials and a PhD in a life sciences discipline to join its Intellectual Property & Technology practice. The person hired for this position will work directly with partners and other team members and will contribute to the practice by assuming such responsibilities as the following. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Drafting patent applications in the field of biotechnology and life sciences
• Analyzing and responding to communications from the USPTO
• Corresponding with foreign associates to provide detailed instructions for prosecuting foreign applications
• Assisting with briefing related to appeals

• Conscientious with a proven attention to detail
• Strong analytical skills and an ability to offer thoroughly researched perspectives on complex issues
• Organized and efficient with disciplined time management skills
• Collaborative and works effectively with others who have different styles

Technical skills

• PhD in a life science discipline is required
• Law firm or USPTO experience is not required, but preferred
• USPTO admission preferred

COMPENSATION WILL BE COMMENSURATE WITH EXPERIENCE, SALARY IS FLEXIBLE.
