Associate – Individual Negotiation and Litigation- Los Angeles or San Francisco offices
One of our national firms is accepting applications for associates to work in their Los Angeles or San Francisco office. The associates will work within their individual practice group representing individuals with regard to discrimination, harassment, retaliation and other statutory claims; employment, bonus, non-compete and severance agreements; and general employment-related advice and counsel. The attorneys will conduct pre-litigation consultations and negotiations, as well as manage a substantial litigation docket. The associates will be responsible for all phases of litigation, including investigation of claims; drafting demand letters, complaints, motions and briefs; managing discovery including taking and defending depositions; and conducting trials. Depending on experience, the attorneys may also be responsible for assisting in the supervision of more junior associates.
Requirements:
Applicants should be well-versed in all substantive and procedural aspects of California employment law, and have a minimum of two to five years of litigation experience. Applicants should have strong research, writing and verbal skills, and the ability to both supervise and work independently.
