Patent Engineer/Technical Specialist - SF or Silicon Valley 

One of our top law firm's is seeking a Patent Engineer/Technical Advisor with excellent academic credentials and a love of technology to join our dynamic Intellectual Property & Technology practice, in either its San Francisco or Silicon Valley office. The person hired for this position will work side-by-side with talented partners and associates to help clients protect some of their most important inventions on the forefront of technology, and can expect to assume such responsibilities as the following.

Responsibilities: 

• Drafting and prosecuting US and foreign patent applications
• Conducting technical research to support clients’ technology
• Providing technical support for the practice

Position Requirements:

Personal Skills/Attributes

• Has a true love of technology

• Possesses strong analytical skills and an ability to convey technical ideas concisely and effectively
• Embraces teamwork and works effectively with others

Technical Skills

• Strong educational background in electrical engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering, physics, or comparable degree is required
