Job Description:

The Analyst, Data Science will have the unique opportunity to blend high level strategic thinking with intensive data analytics to drive insights and recommendations for Ventas’ Senior Housing portfolio (800+ properties, $1B+ in Net Operating Income). The successful candidate will work cross-functionally with portfolio management, investments, and operating partners to identify pockets of opportunity within and outside of Ventas’ current portfolio. Responsibilities:

• Build and manage data pipelines for the ingestion and analysis of structured and unstructured data from operating partners and other third parties
• Develop controls and workflows to ensure quality and accuracy of data
• Design, develop, and enhance proprietary models to improve competitive and operational intelligence
• Utilize our proprietary data sets and predictive analytics to improve our ability to forecast KPIs such as rate, occupancy, mix, etc.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to provide strategic insights on growth and investment opportunities (acquisitions, dispositions, redevelopment, etc.)
• Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience; may lead small teams or small projects

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Engineering, Statistics or similar field
• 2+ years’ experience in data science, data engineering, or technology consulting
• Ability to learn quickly and solve complex problems within a dynamic environment
• Proficiency in Power BI required
• Proficiency in Python and data modeling (DAX, Airflow/Dagster) a plus
• Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills; must be capable of explaining complex information to others in a straightforward manner
• Ability to manage deadlines, multiple tasks and relationships in a fast-paced, team-oriented and lean environment
• Knowledge and interest in real estate and health care are a plus

The compensation available for the role considers a variety of factors including, but not limited to, work location, individual skill set, previous/applicable experience, and other business needs. The estimated salary range for individuals who work in New York City is $75k to $100K. The above salary range represents Ventas’ good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible base salary range at the time of posting and is one part of the total rewards Ventas provides to employees.
