    WHO WE ARE

    The Workforce Solutions division of Front Range Community College partners with businesses to provide short term training to teach skills and knowledge to employees.  This training is typically customized, industry-specific and helps to strengthen the skills of the organization’s employees.

    FRCC Corporate & Workforce Solutions trainings can be delivered anywhere from on-site, on-campus, online and virtually.

    Online – Asynchronous (or self-paced) classes delivered over the Internet

    Virtual – Synchronous (or real-time), interactive, instructor-led classes taught through video conferencing

    Hybrid – A combination of online or virtual with in-person classes. Hybrid classes may be asynchronous (self-paced) or synchronous (real-time) or a mixture of these.

    We create and deliver focused training courses for individuals and businesses. Through our customized training and workforce development programs, Corporate & Workforce Solutions is dedicated to enhancing economic growth in our communities.

    Are you able to take 1-2 weeks of vacation from your present job to earn a lucrative wage conducting a training assignment?

    If so, we are seeking seasoned/experienced machinists interested in conducting training at company sites in the one or more of the following manufacturing skill areas: 

    • Mill and Lathe Machining
    • Machine Maintenance
    • MIG/TIG Welding
    • Lubrication & Hydraulics
    • Electrical Training
    • Machining Fundamentals
    • Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
    • Blueprint Reading
    • Fluid Power
    • Industrial Maintenance 
    • Programming Control Login (PLC)
    • Experience with plastics machining

    As a machining and manufacturing contract trainer, you will help Colorado companies, who have more high-salaried jobs for qualified machinists than they can readily fill.  You will train employees in thriving industries such as aerospace, automotive, medical device or computer industry.  You teach them to set up, program and run high-tech machine tools, program parts on CAD/CAM software, figure out the most efficient way to make a part, and work in teams to solve factory and production problems.

    TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES WILL GENERALLY BE IN THE NORTHERN COLORADO AND NORTH METRO AREAS.

    SALARY: Corporate Training assignments range from 20-100+ hours with some projects ongoing from year to year. You can choose what works for you!  The hourly wage is $50 to $85 per hour.

    Our Trainers educate new and existing employees on how to more effectively perform their jobs. Our trainers also address advancements in technology, the latest findings from research and development and changes in the marketplace. They provide enhanced education to current employees to keep everyone up-to-date on changes in the industry that affect job requirements. These are contract/project-based, part-time positions. Hours and time-frames vary based upon client requests.

    BEGINNING IN MID-DECEMBER, ALL EMPLOYEES OF FRCC WILL HAVE A CHOICE TO SUBMIT A COPY OF THEIR VACCINATION CARD OR TO AGREE TO WEEKLY COVID-19 TESTING.

    • CRITICAL THINKING: Corporate trainers will have to develop or assess materials that will help employees understand the subjects being taught. Trainers will have to understand the needs of the employees and judge what will work.
    • DECISION MAKING: Trainers will have to decide the best programs to train their employees and meet the needs of the organization.
    • COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Trainers need to speak present to groups of employees, speak interpersonally with individuals, report to management and meet with vendors. They must be friendly, clear, strong speakers.
    • PRESENTATION SKILLS: Trainers must have excellent presentation skills to present training programs.
    • INTERPERSONAL AND OBSERVATIONAL SKILLS: Trainers require good interpersonal and observational skills so that they can assess trainees understanding and knowledge of the training materials.

    Required Experience

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: 

    • SUBJECT MATTER EXPERTISE: Trainers must have extensive and comprehensive knowledge of the topic they are discussing so that they can communicate the correct information and handle any questions from trainees. If they are providing instruction in skills, trainers must be competent to demonstrate the skill themselves.
