    THE ROLE

    Bright Power is seeking a consultative, financially oriented, solutions-based Account Executive to identify and close on energy-efficient capital upgrade projects that increase occupant comfort, reduce utility costs, and lower consumption. The Account Executive will proactively identify, qualify, develop, and deliver signed project engagements with owners and operators of multifamily real estate in California. The successful candidate will possess strong prospecting, sales, and account management skills and an ability to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience. This position reports to the Executive Vice President, Sales.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develop and implement market specific sales strategies and tactics focused on securing business with target accounts, prospects and key decision makers
    • Work with prospects to identify opportunities to develop energy/water efficiency, onsite generation, and power resiliency projects
    • Proactively motivate decision makers by developing and delivering compelling customer centric presentations
    • Establish and maintain a sustainable sales pipeline of qualified opportunities
    • Develops a reputation as the energy efficiency and sustainability expert within the California multifamily real estate market through ongoing customer interaction
    • Participate in key trade shows, conferences, seminars, trade associations and networking opportunities
    • Monitor, measure, and track progress of opportunities in Salesforce.com, and provide weekly reporting to management

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Direct sales experience successfully originating new business within at least one of the following industries: energy efficiency/sustainability, mechanical contracting (design/build), consulting engineering, architecture, original equipment manufacturer, and/or commercial real estate services
    • Excellent communication/presentation skills and ability to build relationships among C-Suite and Board levels.
    • Confident, articulate, and professional speaking abilities (and experience)
    • Empathic listener and persuasive speaker
    • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills
    • Organizational and time-management skills
    • Ability to uncover customer needs and desire by asking quality probing questions
    • Ability to develop, cultivate, maintain, and leverage contact networks and business relationships
    • An expert in lead generation, prospecting, qualification, and opportunity cultivation
    • Proficiency in penetrating and navigating VP and C level stakeholders and decision makers
    • Ability to manage multiple accounts while seeking new opportunities
    • Ability to understand client needs, and negotiate costs and services
    • A basic understanding of the energy and water related systems commonly found in multifamily properties
    • Possess conceptual selling skills accompanied by a strong financial/business acumen
    • Experience managing sales cycles in excess of twelve (12) months
    • Demonstrated success in originating, negotiating, and closing complex business transactions
    • Ability to work independently not requiring daily direction
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, G-Suite, and Salesforce software, with aptitude to learn new systems
    • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and prospects

    Compensation consists of base salary plus commission and will vary with performance.
