Formwork Designer I (AutoCAD Designer) Department: Engineering Location: New Braunfels, TX START YOUR APPLICATION POSITION SUMMARY: Creates Symons concrete formwork and shoring layouts for clients under the supervision of an Professional Engineer. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Utilize pre-engineered tables, graphs and data to design formwork layouts. * Preparation of concrete formwork field layout drawings and bills of material * Providing technical assistance to sales and manufacturing * Prepare bills of material. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS: * High School Diploma or GED + two or more years experience in a 2D or 3D drafting/design/detailing role using AutoCAD * 2 year degree or professional trade school is preferred OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: * Experience working in concrete formwork design a plus * Knowledge of shop drawing preparation a plus * Experience in AutoCAD and Solidworks a plus * Steel Detailing a plus PHYSICAL DEMANDS: * Low physical effort required to sit, stand at files, bend, stoop, lift, and walk. * Maximum unassisted lift 35 lbs, average lift less than 10 lbs. * Requires ability to use a keyboard, monitor and calculator. * Requires the ability to communicate verbally, both in person and on the telephone.
