    OPPORTUNITY SNAPSHOT

     

    This role offers you the opportunity to make an impact at both the tactical and strategic levels at one of the largest full-service data center providers in the world. We are looking for a creative, forward thinking, and progressive Manager, Compensation & Equity to join our Total Rewards team. You will play a key role in the team, managing all aspects of compensation and equity administration.

     

    THE REQUIREMENTS

    We are looking for a smart, highly analytical, self-starter. To meet the basic qualifications for this role you will have:

    • A verifiable bachelor's degree. An MBA or other advanced degree is preferred.
    • Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship.
    • 3 to 5 years of employee-pay experience including job evaluation, market pricing, base pay structure design, and incentive plan design.
    • 1 to 2 years’ experience at the manager level.
    • Exceptional analytic skills -- the ability to analyze, synthesize and draw conclusions from the data is key.
    • The ability to function effectively at a senior level as well as willingness to make hands-on contributions; experience in small to mid-size companies could be helpful.
    • Expert proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

    THE ROLE

    Reporting to the Director, Compensation & Equity, you will join a Total Rewards team that includes HRIS, Benefits, and Payroll. You'll have individual goals and objectives, of course, but we also take a cross-functional, team-oriented approach.

     

    The role will include:

    • Assisting the Director, Compensation & Equity with compensation policy and program design, executive compensation and special projects.
    • Overseeing the global administration of Digital Realty’s global equity programs.
    • Providing support by evaluating global compensation programs for competitiveness, effectiveness and compliance.
    • Providing guidance and direction on job grading, short and long-term incentive plan administration, salary planning and local salary structure development.

     

     

    More specifically, you will:

    • Support annual compensation processes, such as merit review, promotions, bonus, and equity grants from design through execution, including detailed project planning and partnership with HR Business Partners and other stakeholders
    • Conduct salary surveys, analyze survey results, and recommend rate adjustments as a result of market/geographic analysis to maintain or improve compensation program objectives
    • Provide benchmarking and competitive insight to HR partners and line business leaders by monitoring competitive trends in compensation and identifying the organization's position compared to other employers
    • Participate in the development of communication materials and deliver training for HR, line managers and employees as required
    • Assist the Director, Compensation & Equity with executive compensation and special studies, including data preparation for annual proxy, long-term incentive grants process, and annual incentive payouts
    • Responsible for the day-to-day activities in administering the global equity program including all aspects of record keeping, reporting, compliance, and reconciliation
    • Lead efforts with Payroll, Accounting, HR, Legal, brokers and transfer agents to ensure the integrity of the stock administration system meets company needs and expected outcomes
    • Create, maintain, update procedure documents for global practices in accordance with industry best practices and standards
    • Contribute to the design, implementation and administration of annual incentive and other variable pay programs aligned to business strategy
