They have a broad knowledge of Human Resources and are efficient in successfully completing the daily HR functions, like tracking employee records and supporting in the interview process. They perform tasks with a focus to grow Harwood International and assist in employing the company with outstanding people. Classification Exempt/ Salaried Job Code HI-HRCOORD Essential Functions Job Functions Maintain records of personnel-related data in both paper and database records, to ensure all employment requirements are met Support the recruitment / hiring process by posting job opening, pre-screening, and interviewing candidates to ensure that Harwood is fully staffed in the Corporate and Hospitality sectors. Assist in training/coaching management in Employee Relations, Employee counseling etc. Coordinate training sessions and seminars Perform orientations with groups/individuals, onboarding, and update records with new hires Produce and submit reports on general HR activity Verify new hire packages and input new hires into ExponentHR Ensures compliance with federal and state regulations Ensure plan provisions are followed Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions Handles all employee relations within Harwood Hospitality and Harwood International including investigations on Discrimination, Harassment, and Sexual Harassment. Reconciles benefits statements and assists benefits administrator as needed Completes I-9 forms, verifies documentation, and maintains files Submits employee background checks to determines whether employee will come onboard with the approval of the VP of P & C Assists with the preparation of performance review Put together, deliver and e-mail offer letters to all new hires Schedules meeting and interviews as requested by the director of HR Makes photocopies; mails, scans, and emails documents Files documents into appropriate employee files Prepares new-employee files Ensures all new hires have completed all the proper documentation including pre-hire and post-hire documentation required Leads tours of the property for new hires as needed Assists with translating documents from English to Spanish including Employee Application, Employee Agreement, EEOC Form, etc. Complete employment verification forms for employees as requested through employee or other source. Helps with workers comp by speaking directly to employee to get accurate information as needed and communicating it to appropriate team member. Works very closely with employees to ensure all questions/concerns are met. Ensures all certifications needed for the position are met prior to having the employee come onboard and ensures certification are up to date throughout their employment at Harwood Benefit enrollment assistance to Benefits Administrator, including explanation of benefits to current and future employees and submitting deadline compliance. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position; typical work hours and days are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. May be some flexibility in hours required. Required Education & Experience Minimum of two years administrative or human resources experience Proficient in Microsoft Office Fluency in Spanish (reading, writing and speaking) Preferred Education & Experience Associates degree, human resources courses Real estate / hospitality industry experience Work Authorization/Clearance Offers of employment are contingent upon satisfactorily passing the pre-hire background screening and will also take into account the results of any reference checks, behavioral interview results, and/or pre-hire tests or profiles.
